Former Nintendo of Sweden-event hostess, writer and reviewer turned professional photographer caught my attention for the first time in 2004 (!!) when I saw her advertising "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles" at a video games convention here in Gothenburg. 14-year old me was totally smitten by her looks and she's always been a puppy crush of mine since then.

2. Shiina Ringo
Her music is what captivated me at first, and makes her even sexier and more awesome. She is everything a woman and a musician should be.

3. Lucy Liu
This picture doesn't do her justice, really! I saw her in Lucky Number Slevin and probably kept obsessing several days afterwards.

4. Lady GaGa
Saw her "Just Dance" video, and all I can say is... DEM THIGHS!

Saw her "Shut Up and Drive" video, and... You get the drift (pun intended).

The following updates have been made:

Band Members -> Please welcome BatAAr's new vocalist, Michel! He has a mean voice as well as a personal MySpace and the band is convinced that he is the right person for the task of being the vocalist for BatAAr. Being able to go freely between deep growls and pretty melodies, he has just what it takes and performs in ways other can not.

SONGS -> Two re-recordings of older songs with BatAAr's new vocalist, Michel, have been uploaded!

PICS -> New band pictures have been uploaded and are awaiting nice comments. You can see them both in the Pics section and on the main page as well.

DESIGN -> A new header with more links to other sites has been added to the MySpace.

MEDIA -> The MEDIA-section is now featuring banners that you can put on your own webpage / personal MySpace. Just copy the HTML in the bar and paste it into the layout of your page if you feel like giving BatAAr some publicity.

GIGS -> 3 gigs have been added to the schedule. If you want to buy tickets to the show at Sticky Fingers in advance, please send an e-mail HERE (bataar@gmail.com) with the subject line "STICKY FINGERS".
There are more gigs in store soon in places BatAAr has not been before, stay tuned!

A new vocalist has been found and the MySpace now features only a small sample of him in action. On Wednesday November 5th there will be a BIG UPDATE featuring the official announcement of the vocalist, new band pictures, fully re-recorded songs, new gig dates, a new MySpace design and banners!

I know, I know.

I don't use this LJ unless I'm about to whore out my band even further. However, I just want to notify you all that on next Wednesday, one week from now, May 21st, there will be a HUGE update on the BatAAr Official Homepage.

The update will contain the Music Video / PV for "faith.", new band pictures, a modified homepage design, the opening of a web-based shop that ships worldwide as well as... More songs! So yeah, you definately shouldn't miss it.

NEW GUITAR

So with some help from my kind parents I bought myself a new guitar that I hope will be able to last for quite a while. She cost me almost 10 000 SEK which is about $1525 / €1058 / £757.

The guitar I bought is an ESP Edwards E-K-130VP which some are familiar with. She is the signature guitar of Kaoru, guitarist of Dir en grey. I already had a cheap LTD Viper-50 copy of his guitar but now I've got myself the next best thing to actually owning one of his guitars.

I've chosen to name her Maryla, after my dear grandmother who passed away two months ago.

This used to be the guitar of my dreams. Now I actually have one in my posession.

It came with a whole bunch of goodies.

This is the semi-reflective surface near the bridge of the guitar. When light hits this spot an image of a skull with "JAPANESE ZOMBIE HEROEZ" can be seen.

They all mean very much to me and represent different stages of me as an artist and a guitarist. I'm looking forward to trying Maryla out in front of a big crowd soon. I just love the sound of her and how smooth she feels to the touch. No pictures of me with it yet though, you'll have to wait until the next BatAAr gig for that!

This is what grandma wanted me to get this Christmas, so that's what I got for myself with a lot of help from my parents.

Hay guys so we like had one of our biggest gigs ever last week. All of it was filmed so Partillerocken '07 put up the first 3 songs that we played that evening on YouTube. I'm really proud of our performance even if the crowd had never seen us before.

So, I DID go to Amsterdam to see Dir en grey live and I came home last night. I'm... Disappointed somehow even though I caught yet another pick AND a water bottle (both from Kaoru). I guess I was expecting too much of a different setlist but they basically just did the same thing as TOUR07 THE MARROW OF A BONE.

And yes, I did make one of those retarded movies yet again. I'll post it later.
